Fire was not only a part of human civilization but also a nature force in the history of earth. From the early elements in human development up to the modern technology, fire has modified the world, and in many ways; however, it is dangerous and needs respect. Knowing how fire works in science, significance, and how to conduct safely with it is important.

Science of Fire

Fire, simply, is a chemical reaction known to mankind for long, and termed as combustion. It is about a substance usually fuel in which combines with the oxygen present in the air to give heat and light. Fire triangle consists of fuel, heat, and oxygen. It is used simply to depict the basic ingredients in which a fire can happen. Take away one ingredient and a fire stops.

Fuel: Any material that is capable of burning, such as wood, paper, or gasoline.

Heat: This is the energy needed to raise the fuel to its ignition point.

Oxygen: In the air, oxygen supplies the chemical reaction.

These three elements cannot coexist without each other. Without these three elements, a fire cannot ignite and cannot sustain itself.
