Airplanes have changed the game for good, and in no time, people can travel all around the world, keeping people in touch and their feats alive. This is a story of innovation and engineering at its finest-from the grassy field and the fisherman's sudden realization to what he really was 'constructing' to high-speed machines today.
The Early Years
The concept of flying machines actually existed with the ancestors at a time when myths of those early machines became more relevant, and even early inventions such as a kite were starting to shape their application. However, serious attempts to create a flying machine occurred only during the late 19th and early 20th century. Before Orville Wright, on 17th December, 1903, the powered flight of the Wright Flyer had lasted for only 12 seconds, two researchers have witnessed extensive experimentation. Among them one is Otto Lilienthal and the other is the Wright brothers. Golden Age of Aviation
